Jean-Louis Voille, one of the leading portraitists of his time in St. Petersburg, was born in Paris and was a student of the famous French painter/portraitist Francois-Hubert Drouais (1727-1775) at the Academie Royale. Pictured is Baroness Stroganova (1779-1815) when she was 15 years old. In 1795, She married to Nikolai Demidoff. Later in the years, Robert Lefèvre, a French painter, painted [Baroness Stroganova Demidoff] below, which is in Hermitage Museum as with the portrait in her teens by Jean-Louis Voille.
