In contrast to Rembrandt, who left many self-portraits, Rubens painted only a few. Apart from a number of paintings on which he has depicted himself together with Isabella Brant, Helena Fourment or with a few friends, there are five(5) "different" known in which he has depicted himself alone. Belgium chose to issue a stamp above to depict his self-portatit at Rubens House to commemorate the International Rubens Year, which was 1977. Recently, Rubens House (Rubenshuis) discovered a new undated young Rubens portrait, making it the fifth known self-portrait.
Here are the other four, including the new fifth one recently discovered;

There are two 1623 "same" or "similar" portraits done. It seems art world considers these two as "one" self-portraits.
